The First Step to PRK
Gulf South Eye Associates offers a complimentary screening appointment where a series of preliminary tests are performed to determine if you are a good PRK candidate. During the screening appointment you will also be counseled and meet with your surgeon to answer all of your questions.

The Second Step to PRK
Your surgeon, to ensure that your eye is healthy and that there are not any suspicious retinal changes, cataracts, or eye disease, will perform a complete and thorough dilated eye exam. You will again have an opportunity to discuss with your surgeon the risks associated with PRK and ask any questions you may have. You may also pick a time frame in which you would like to have procedure.

The Third Step to PRK
The "PRE OP Exam" is done after you have been out of contact lenses for at least 2 weeks. During this exam you will undergo a series of diagnostic tests and consult with Tina, your Refractive Coordinator and surgeon about informed consent and all of your pre-op and post-op instructions.
