There are many steps taken to determine if you are PRK candidate. A good candidate must:

  • have had a complete eye exam with dilation within 3 months of PRK
  • be free of eye disease
  • have a stable glasses and / or contact lens prescription for 6 months
  • be at least 18 years of age
  • not be pregnant or nursing
  • not have a medical history of diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, ocular herpes, or the use of oral Prednisone.
This is only a partial list of contraindications to PRK, please feel free to contact Tina for a personal consultation.
