A good candidate for LASIK must:
- be free of soft contact lenses for at least 2 weeks; free of gas permeable contact lenses for at least 3 - 6 months
- have a complete eye exam with dilation within 3 months of LASIK
- have a stable glass / contact lens prescription for 6 months
- be at least 18 years of age
- not be pregnant or nursing for 6 months
- not have a medical history of diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, ocular herpes, or use of oral Prednisone
This is only a partial list of contraindications to LASIK. Please feel free to contact Tina for a personal consultation.
