	The First Step to LASEK Gulf South Eye Associates offers a complimentary screening appointment where a series of preliminary tests are performed to determine if you are a good LASEK candidate. During the screening appointment you will also be counseled and meet with your surgeon to answer all of your questions. The Second Step to LASEK A complete and thorough dilated eye exam will be performed by your surgeon to ensure that your eye is healthy and that there are not any suspicious retinal changes, cataracts, or eye disease. You will again have an opportunity to discuss with your surgeon the risks associated with LASEK and ask any questions you may have. The Third Step to LASEK The "PRE OP Exam" is done after you have been out of contact lenses for at least 2 weeks. During this exam you will undergo a series of diagnostic tests and consult with your LASEK Coordinator and surgeon about informed consent and all of your pre-op and post-op instructions.
