 |  Dr. John W. Boyle IV, is a native of New Orleans, Dr. Boyle joined Gulf South Eye Associates in July 2008. He received his undergraduate degree from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia, and medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. After completing an internship in internal medicine there, Dr. Boyle completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis. He then completed a Glaucoma fellowship in Memphis under Dr. Peter Netland, an internationally known glaucoma specialist. state.
Dr. Boyle is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, New Orleans Academy of Ophthalmology, Jefferson Parish Medical Society, and the Louisiana Medical Society.
Dr. Boyle focuses on comprehensive eye care including the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, dry eyes, blepharitis, diabetic eye disease, and age related macular degeneration.
